Rhubarb
We offer fresh picked rhubarb in May. While our farm is not regularly open in May we are at the farm every day caring for and preparing our berries for picking season. We will be taking orders and can schedule pick-up times convenient for you. Our rhubarb is absolutely delicious and wonderful in pies, jams, cakes, and so many other recipies.
Strawberries
This June, last springs plantings will be ready to pick. We have 12 different varieties on 8 beautiful acres.
Last year we had ever bearing strawberries available. Wow, was it a treat to eat fresh picked, right out of the field strawberries in June, July, August and September. We will have them again this year, but in limited quantities so please call first.
Red Raspberries
Our summer red raspberry varieties bear early July through late to early August. Our fall or ever bearing raspberry varieties bear early August through October or the first hard frost. We have been known to pick into the first week of November.
Black Raspberries
Our farm is excited to offer two types of summer bearing black raspberries. They are available to pick around the third week of July and last for about three weeks. Black raspberries are extremely rich in antioxidants, which help promote better health, not to mention having an excellent flavor!
Purple Raspberries
Our purple raspberries are ready for picking shortly after our black raspberries and have a picking season of about two weeks. Their flavor is very different from black and red raspberries. They are slightly tart when eaten fresh, however when you cook or bake with them their truly sweet and unique flavor come out. They are by far our favorite berry for making jam
Gold Raspberries
We are planting two acres of these new to our farm this spring. They are an ever-bearing raspberry so we will have them early in the season and again in August and September along with our ever-bearing red raspberries. This is a very delicious, sweet raspberry. We are planting an aggressive variety called Anne so we are expecting berries this August and September.
Blueberries
Our blueberry varieties bear in July and August. Unfortunately we do not have an abundance of blueberries mainly due to the wildlife in our area. They are a favorite for deer, rabbits and robins. We encourage you to call ahead to check on the picking conditions of our blueberries.
Currants and Gooseberries
These berries are also available in a limited supply in July. These berries will be offered on a first come basis. They are mainly used for jelly making, but some like their fresh tart flavor.
